The Carle Foundation sells RxExpress to Walgreens

As of June 27, 2011, Walgreens owns and operates former Carle RxExpress pharmacies. Walgreens was selected as the buyer because of its comprehensive national resources, ability to provide you with greater pharmacy access, competitive pricing and a wider selection of products and services. While most Carle RxExpress locations will remain open under the Walgreens’ banner, the locations in Danville, Cunningham Avenue and Windsor Road in Urbana closed effective May 31, 2011. Customer files at those locations have been transferred to the nearest Walgreens.
